The representation of the silence

Along the path of our existence some times we feel a strong urge to leave the world with its noise behind us and search for an oasis where we can find a natural relationship with ourselves and to be able to listen  to the silence, talk with it and meditate with it. This aspect often appears in the poetic art of Michelangelo Rossi. Lost and silent  ancient suburbs, embraced at the top of a hill, flooded by clear light, perfectly represents the scene for our trip - existence. Scraped walls, closed windows, corroded dreams, indefinite illusions accompany us along a walk up the hill.“ Steps” is the title of one of the most meaningful works of the artist, that describes in a perfect way the suffering in his search for perfection. Forgotten lives flutter like ghosts behind closed shutters. The shadows seem to disappear along the tortuous walk, the buildings are transfigured, they are symbols of our lives, they define a labyrinth without an exit.
